How much is the tuition fee?
CBTC is a not-for-profit organization. There is no tuition fee.
Are the lectures available online?
All our courses are available online. You do need to be a registered student to gain access to the student portal.
Must I be a pastor to join CBTC?
No. You do not need to be a pastor or a leader to register. Every single person fills a vital and special role within society and the church.
About the Program
A Calgary Bible Training Program Designed for Everyday People
Our Calgary Bible training program was designed with one conviction: God has called and uniquely gifted every person. Not only those with a full-time ministry position are called, but every single person fills a vital and special role within society and the church. That is why the Regular Program is tuition free, self-paced and open to everyone, whether you are a new believer, a long-time church member or someone who has never opened a Bible.
What a Typical Week Looks Like
Most students study about three hours a week through the online student portal, working through lessons at their own pace. Every Thursday we also gather in Calgary to dive into the Word of God together. We open the evening with praise and worship and a few announcements, and then students break into classrooms. Come with your Bible and a notebook.
Three Years, Three Classes
The program can be finished in three years. When we meet in person at the Alberta Bible College campus, first-year students have class in the Chapel, second-year students meet in Room 101, and third-year students meet in Room 201 on the second floor. Along the way the program includes at least three conferences, and students can gain practical experience sharing their faith through our partnership with the Monday Night Evangelism team.
Who Should Enroll?
Anyone who wants to get to know God’s Word and become a disciple of Jesus Christ. You do not need to be a pastor or a leader to register, and unlike a traditional Bible college there is no tuition fee.
