Our Beginning
Where It All Started
The Calgary Bible Training Centres originated from a burden to arise and fulfill divine destiny by obeying Matthew 28:18-20 — “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.”
The vision to make disciples reflects the desire of our Father in Heaven to reach all people in all nations with the Good News of Jesus Christ. After reaching people with the gospel, our hope is to teach them the doctrines of the Bible.

Our Journey
From Cameroon to Calgary
1994
A Call in Cameroon
A missionary from Liberia comes to Cameroon to start Bible Training Schools to make and train disciples.
2002
A Student Enrolls
A branch opens in our founder’s city. He registers and begins weekly classes as a new disciple.
2013
A Book Is Published
Written to prepare the saints for deeper doctrines, the book is published while in Canada.
2014
CBTC Is Born
The vision of a non-denominational Bible Training Centre takes root in Calgary.
2015
Classes Launch
Calgary Bible Training Centers launches in January 2015 and holds its first graduation.
2026
Still Equipping
Graduation Ceremony on May 30 and the Prophetic Conference in October.

Why We Exist
A Calgary Bible Training Centre That Supports the Local Church
Our Calgary Bible training centre exists for one purpose: to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We are a discipleship training centre that systematically teaches the major doctrines of Christianity, and we are a support centre for local churches in Canada. Students come from different denominations, or from no church background at all, and are introduced to the basic tenets of the Christian faith.
Because we are not a church and not a theological school, students are not being trained to become pastors. They are being trained to become disciples. If you are later called to be a pastor, teacher, evangelist, apostle, prophet, helps minister or simply a good Christian, you will be equipped to fulfill that calling. What We Believe
Tenets of Faith
The programs and activities of this ministry are based upon, and at all times consistent with, the following beliefs. We believe, together with the Apostolic Church of Pentecost of Canada Incorporated:
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative written Word of God. There is one true God who eternally exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, very God and very man.
Man was created, tested and fell as recorded in Genesis, and is unable to attain divine righteousness. Forgiveness of sin and eternal life are freely offered to all by our Lord Jesus Christ. The salvation of sinners is by grace through faith alone, in the perfect, all-sufficient work of Christ, who died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day for our justification.
We believe in water baptism of believers by immersion in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, in the baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, with the scriptural evidence of speaking in tongues, and in the gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in the book of Acts and the Epistles.
We believe in the Lord’s Table as a memorial for believers, in divine healing as practiced throughout the New Testament, in the eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever, and in the Spirit-filled life, in which the Holy Spirit is the catalyst for sanctification and seeks to produce His fruit in the believer’s life. We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church, and in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong exclusive commitment between one man and one woman.
What Christianity Is Based Upon
The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His sinless life and His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood upon the cross at Calvary, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father in heaven, and His personal return in power and glory as the King of kings and the Lord of lords.
